Established in 2012, Milestone Academy is a family owned and operated early childhood development center that provides care for infants, toddlers, & preschool aged children. With two locations (Shelby and Chilton counties), Milestone Academy was developed with your child’s safety, well-being, and academic success in mind!
We offer a traditional educational curriculum for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. Our classrooms are designed to meet the needs of our children by providing a warm, calm, and orderly environment that encourages concentration and learning.
The Environment
At Milestone Academy, we strive to provide a clean, safe and educational environment for children. Within our environment, children can thrive and have the opportunity to blossom. We provide developmentally appropriate toys and activities for each classroom allowing children of all ages the opportunity to expand their creativity. Children will develop fine motor skills, gross motor skills, social skills, and gain academic knowledge in various ways. To achieve this goal, we provide a safe classroom learning environment that promotes independence, confidence, creativity, critical thinking skills, freedom to make mistakes, progressive experiences, and an open and caring community with fellow peers and teachers. Children participate in circle time, art, center play, outside play, and free play daily.
Our Staff
Milestone Academy requires on-going training for our staff through state sponsored classes, orientation videos, in-house training, and other certified professionals in the education field. All staff are trained in First Aid and CPR.

Milestone Academy provides exceptional education and quality childcare. We are committed to focusing on the needs of each child by providing a stimulating atmosphere for learning along with a secure loving environment. We believe a childcare facility should be an extension of each child's family. Our teachers and parents are encouraged to work together to provide the love and support needed as your child reaches developmental milestones and his/her own personal achievements! Our focus is ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of our students, staff, and families. Our new policies and protocols ensure everyone’s safety on a daily basis. We have upgraded policies & protocols we implement everyday to combat and mitigate the spread of COVID19.
